Ryesha Higgs

Raised in the Turks & Caicos Islands, Ryesha begun her dance training at the early age of five years old. Taking immediate interest in the performing arts, Ryesha's study of dance led her to train at the Aretuza's School of Dance, Bowen Dance Academy and Rock it Hot Dance institutes. Though she lived on a small island, Ryesha was exposed to diverse dance techniques such as; Ballet, Release-Technique Modern, Pointe, Contemporary Jazz and, Soli-Based African. Her dance education on the beautiful tropical island was further heightened by her travels throughout the United States, as a student of the; Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet Summer Intensive, Saratoga Springs and Vail Valley Summer Dance Intensives and, The Ailey School's Professional Division Summer Program at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Upon completing her secondary education with an international distinction from the Cambridge International Examination Board, Ryesha took a leap and moved to New York City, having received acceptance into The Ailey School's Professional Division Independent Study Program. Here she furthered her technical and artistic training in Ballet, Horton, Graham-Based Modern, Pointe, Dunham, Hip Hop, Tap and, West African. At The Ailey School, Ryesha was also able to work and perform with world renowned choreograpahers; Christopher Rudd, Nathan Trice, Jennifer Archibald and, Judine Somerville. With an interest to focus her training more on Ballet technique, Ryesha transitioned on to become a student at The School of the Dance Theatre of Harlem, where she trained under Ballet pioneers, Mr. Robert Garland and Mr. Agustus Van Heerden among many others.

Ryesha has now sought to blend her love for science and dance, as a Biomedical Science Undergraduate at King's College London. She remains steadfast in pursuing her professional dance career. Since relocating to the United Kingdom, Ryesha has performed in London as well as across Europe, on Strictly Come Dance (Adam Lambert), The MTV European Music Awards in Seville, Spain (Akon/Dua Lipa) and the Asian Mnet Music Awards in Nagoya, Japan (Dua Lipa).
